The entry door on the East side is now closed (it was opened during my previous visit in 2001). Ground water has always been the main problem at the site. Contrary to what they had indicated in the eighties the French authorities abandoned their idea of pumping the water. Major parts of the bunker complex therefore remain inaccessible to visitors. This entrance runs to the servicing hall and goes straight through the bunker. The original train track that went through it is no longer visible. The tunnel was intended for the unloading of A4/V2 rockets after they had been inspected at the reception station, which is at the northern section of the site.
